Emily is very proud to call herself a sixth generation Nashvillian. She holds a BA in American Studies from Lipscomb University and an Masters of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School. In addition to being a Board Member, Emily is the Education & Tour Coordinator for the Friends of Two Rivers. She is passionate about the history of Two Rivers and the McGavock family, and loves sharing that rich history with each and every guest that comes through the doors. Emily’s favorite part of the Mansion are the 1850 wedding portraits of David and Willie McGavock, as they beautifully capture a moment in time and give guests a glimpse into the past! She lives in Old Hickory with her husband Josh and their two Scottish terriers and the former “Mansion Kitty”, appropriately named Miss Willie.
