Paul Whitten

Paul is a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan and later spent three years in the Peace Corps in Gavar, Armenia, where he developed a deep commitment to service, storytelling and community building. He is also a UK Parliamentary Fellow alumnus, having walked the halls of Westminster while engaging with Members of Parliament and honing his ability to translate history into leadership.

Back in Nashville, Paul combined his love of history and public engagement to found Nashville Adventures, a tour company built on veteran-entrepreneurial roots, community impact and love for the region. Nashville Adventures donates 1 % of all revenue to veteran-related charities, hires for passion rather than bullet-point recall, and has been featured in major media including USA Today and The Tennessean. As a Nashville historian specializing in the Civil War’s occupied city, Paul is also writing a nonfiction book exploring his own life alongside Nashville’s story of veterans, entrepreneurship and place. On the Friends of Two Rivers board he brings a historian’s heart, an entrepreneur’s mindset and a veteran’s drive for service and inclusive opportunity.
