Russell LeStourgeon

Russell LeStourgeon is a historic preservationist and licensed architect with the Metro Nashville Historical Commission. A Nashville native, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural History and a master’s degree in Architecture, both from Yale University. Prior to joining the Historical Commission in 2023, he worked in New York City as an associate at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, where he focused on the rehabilitation of historic buildings. In his current role, Russell contributes to preservation projects across Davidson County, supports research and grant initiatives, and helps oversee the renovation and interpretation of historic sites like Sunnyside in Sevier Park. He is also involved in public outreach through Nashville Sites, a digital walking tour platform that brings the city’s history to life.
